A New Year’s Eve-Themed Wedding | Content Day at the Monarch

I really do love a themed wedding: 70s, 50s, Valentine’s Day, Christmas… but until this year, I have always turned down working on New Year’s Eve. For many reasons, I guess, I have chosen to spend that day at home and with my family. But, this year — well, it was 2020 and it wasn’t just any wedding. It was a friend of mine who was traveling 9.5 hours from the Outer Banks of North Carolina to get married here in the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains. ❤️

And I have to say that it was one of my favorite workdays all year. It was the perfect way to close down 2020, and I still got home in time to celebrate the ringing in of 2021 with my family.

Much like this session from Summer Simmon’s amazing content day, themed weddings are unique in planning and detail. If you’re looking to plan a wedding planned around something specific, let’s talk! I love the creation of awesomeness and I welcome the challenges of something new!

Happy wedding planning!  I can’t wait to chat photography with you!

I have an affinity to all things light and airy.  I love color, sunshine, romance, and laughter.  I love inspirational quotes, meeting new people, flowers, and the idea of finishing a great book.  My go-to drink is coffee.  My outlet is dance.  And, aallllll of my free time is spent with my crew, including our German Shepherd, Gaia.
