“Life itself is the most wonderful fairytale of all.” — Hans Christian Anderson
Friends! Hi and happy wedding Wednesday!
I had to find a quote that somehow encapsulated the life that appears as a fairytale that these two gorgeous (on the inside and out) humans live. And Mr. Anderson nailed it right there. Indeed for Abbey and Gage, life is the most wonderful fairytale of all.
The Engagement and Proposal
They met through mutual friends. And, as they tell their story:
“He was deployed to Afghanistan in November. And we FaceTimed every day. Every time we did, it was about our future, but little did I know he was planning all of this. When he got home, he told me his mom wanted to take Christmas pictures at a Christmas tree farm in Gatlinburg with his brothers, grandmothers, and my sisters. We took off walking up a hill while his mom was ‘taking pictures of us’ but as we walked, he told me he had a speech planned but couldn’t remember it (lol), I asked what he was doing and he said, ‘I told you I’m gonna spend forever with you,’ and he got down on one knee! Our families videoed it and when I turned around my parents were there too.”
The Wedding Day
Abbey and Gage chose the beautiful and never-to-disappoint Marblegate Farms in Louisville, Tennessee. Chosen for its scenic views of the water, gorgeous gardens, and flexibility of rain-or-shine venue, Marblegate was decorated to the nines with every detail touched by the class and dedication of these two and their families.
It is always the greatest honor to be asked to photograph a wedding day. I cherish these moments while making new friends. Thank you, Abbey and Gage. I know life holds great things for the two of you.
