“I swear I could not love you more than I do today, yet I know I will tomorrow”
Morgan and Walt’s journey began a little over 6 years ago. They met playing in the same Knoxville soccer league and over a short 4 years their mutual love for cooking, fur babies, opera, and travel strung these two together forever. And, boy, and I grateful the stars aligned for these two. Walt and Morgan’s gentle spirits and intelligent connection exudes in all that they do and makes them one super fun couple to hang out with ❤️
The Engagement Story
From Morgan, herself::
Walt and I were preparing to go on a big two-week trip to Europe. All of my friends were convinced he would propose on the trip but I knew Walt would never want to be predictable and that definitely wasn’t going to happen. I came over the night before the trip to be ready for our early departure to the airport in the morning. When I showed up to the house all the lights were off, candles lit, and he was BLASTING our favorite opera song over the record player. This should’ve cued me in but I thought Walt was trying to be silly and romantic as we were traveling to Italy the next day. The candles led to the front door where Walt was standing outside (in a suit!) with the words “Will you marry me” written out behind him in Christmas lights. You would have to ask him the rest because I was completely shocked and in happy tears at this point but I know he did get down on a knee and I said yes! Then we spent the next two weeks celebrating with a couple of our dear friends.
You guys! “written out in Christmas lights.” How amazing is that?! And, just as amazing- Morgan said YES a million times over! ✨
I love the story that starts the story. And, I am so excited to celebrate with Walt & Morgan as we inch toward their October 2020 wedding.
Knoxville Engagement Session Location
I met with Morgan and Walt at the Maple Grove Estate off of Westland Drive in West Knoxville. Friends, I FELL IN LOVE with this beautiful property. About 15 acres nestled up off of a long, log drive, it is the epitome of Southern Charm. Covered in the beautiful greenery of the Spring, the gardens and trees called for us to walk the entire property stopping often for the next set of pictures.
Walt and Morgan have their wedding planned for the Maple Grove Estate this Fall. And, here is why:
“We liked the idea of getting married outside and the landscape is beautiful. The house itself is also gorgeous and historic which gives it a really romantic feel. The venue comes with a really fantastic wedding coordinator and it’s only minutes from our house.”
And, they are not kidding when they chat about the wedding planner. She is amazing!
A Few of My Favorites
We walked away with 100s of images from this gorgeous shoot. I’ve snatched a few out of the gallery to share.
Thank you, Morgan and Walt for spending this time with me! I can hardly wait for October!
