Heeeyyy You! Happy Thursday! I am SO super glad you stopped by. This #ThursdayUpdate is just bubbling over me right now. I’ve been holding back the announcement for sometime, waiting on all of the stars to align. ✨ And, now it is time:
✨ANNOUNCEMENT ✨
✨The renovation of Westland Farms Studio is Officially Underway!✨
In case you haven’t had the opportunity to follow along, the Keenan Crew moved into our Farm Rancher a little over a year ago. The space is SO perfect for our crew in alllll the ways. It is no secret that the grounds of Westland Farms beautifully host an Old, Rustic Barn, Three Running Creeks, a Pond that is Nested by Blue Herons, two Large Fields of Green Grass, Wild Flowers, Trees, and Bamboo… a Photographer’s Dream! And, I am SO grateful to have this space to both live and work in.
BUT- there is a sorta, tiny secret. This space has an unfinished area. This area has sat, holding my equipment, studio furnishings, props, backdrops, and all kinds of other “stuff” since we moved in. This space has been waiting patiently. Reminding ever so gently as I walk by that it is available for more. I call it my “studio space” but have not yet taken steps to create a useful environment.
Well– this week marks the first steps! They are huge step…because the space is a huge mess! Haha 🤣
All of the work has been lined-up and we are in action folks! I am anticipating the opening of the Westland Farms Studio Space by mid to late November 2019. And, I really, really, REALLY cannot wait.
Goals of the space include:
- a sitting area for nursing moms, bridal consultations, print and design meetings, and a waiting area for friends and family that tag along with Westland Farms clients.
- a props and wardrobe area that will display what is available to clients as we create images for newborns, children, brides, and boudoir
- a changing area with lit hair and make-up areas
- a professional photography studio for business headshots, personal branding, newborn portraits, children’s photography, bridal portraits, and boudoir shoots
So here is the super cringy place we are starting today! Beautiful, right?! 😬
On the To-Do List::
Drywall, Floors, Paint, Lighting, Pipe and Drape, Back Drop Install, ORGANIZATION 😱

Six Weeks 🤨
Send some extra prayers, ya’ll. Excitement out the whazoo. And, a few nerves too!
