No Two Weddings are Identical

Whoohooo!  So, that’s great news.   Your wedding day is full of personalized moments and decoration.  From the colors you choose to the table-tops at your reception, your thought has gone into every detail.  But, one part of your wedding day that become one of the most personalized is your wedding ceremony.  Some ideas for personalizing your wedding ceremony:

  • Write Your Own Vows
  • Include a lighting of the candles or sand ceremony
  • Asking Your Officiant to Speak on the Two of You Personally
  • A Special Reading or Musical Performance
  • A Deep Dip at Your First Kiss
  • or, a Celebratory Gesture at the Announcement of Your Official Marriage

Keeping in mind that there are no rules for keeping things traditional, whether civil or religious, large or a micro-wedding, a traditional ceremony service will likely follow a general outline.

A Traditional Wedding Ceremony

  • The Procession
  • The Officiant’s Opening Remarks
  • The Officiant Addresses the Couple
  • The Exchange of Vows
  • The Ring Exchange
  • The Pronouncement of Marriage
  • The First Kiss
  • The Closing Remarks
  • The Announcement of the Couple
  • The Recessional

How Your Photographer Can Help

Having photographed over 200 weddings, I have seen so many cool, unique, and incredibly traditional wedding ceremonies.  Please use me and my experience to help you form your wedding-day timeline.  Creating a flow that feels comfortable and un-rushed will provide a wedding day experience that is fun and enjoyable.  Working with a planner?  Awesome!  That makes my work with your wedding timeline easier.  And, I am so excited to work with your coordinator to form a day-of timeline that is perfect for your wedding dreams.
