Hey fellow Creatives! I’m grateful to have you along for this one. Today, I’m tackling one of the greatest challenges of my branding and business building experience:: Directing Your Narrative.
When I was new in this photography world, I wanted to take it ALL on- all the types of photography, all the different types of clientele… All. Of. It.
But, since this is a Tuesday Photography Tip- I’ll keep long story short. All. Of. It. rung me out and left me holding very little. So, here is the tip::
Choose Your Client. This is what I did…literally::
Name your ideal client. Give them a job, city of living, circle of friends, hobbies, and past times. Decide where they shop and what their favorite restaurants are. Get to know this person like they are your best friend. And, make certain that this is someone you can connect with.
It sounds silly- but, if you know your client intimately and you love them than you can market to them genuinely and transparently. And, when you can give your client what they are looking for they will trust and love you right back. Stop just talking. Talk to and with the right people.
CONNECTIONS!
You may be shaking your head at me right now. I know this sounds super crazy. But, give it a try…then let me know how it goes!
