Hi friends!
As you probably realize by now, there’s quite a lot that goes into wedding planning — mentally, emotionally, spiritually, financially — and that heavy load can weigh you down pretty easily. Oftentimes, that’s where your lovely team of bridesmaids comes to your rescue! From offering to tackle parts of your to-do list to providing genuine emotional support, these friends give you so much during this pivotal part of your life.
For this reason, I want to focus on them today… more specifically, ways in which brides-to-be can show their gratitude for these dedicated, devoted friends. Here are some of my favorite ways I’ve seen brides express their love and appreciation.
1. Give them the glam treatment on your wedding day.
If your budget allows, consider covering the costs of professional hair and makeup (or one of these services) for your crew. They will be blown away by the gesture, as being a bridesmaid usually comes with plenty of additional investments. Not to mention, they will be so thrilled to get to sit back, relax, and get all dolled up alongside you on your big day! It’ll make photography all the more fun for the group, too, because everyone will feel so beautiful and confident.
2. Get sentimental with your bridesmaid gifts.
Most brides offer a token of appreciation to their bridesmaids on the wedding day, so why not give it an extra personal touch? For example, you can gift a delicate bracelet for everyone to wear as part of their wedding ensembles, but each bracelet can feature a charm that’s unique to that individual. Putting extra thought into it to show that you really considered how each of these friends has touched your life will make them feel so special.
3. Help them with accommodations.
If most of your bridal crew is traveling from afar to be part of your big day, offer to find a group Airbnb for them for the weekend to make the trip less stressful. From beach houses to cute mountain cabins, there are so many affordable rental homes to choose from that can accommodate your group comfortably. They can all enjoy a bit of homey personal space, as well as the opportunity to bond a bit with each other, making every moment of the trip memorable.
4. Literally write them thank-you notes!
Yes, friends, all it takes is a few heartfelt words to brighten someone’s day and remind them just how loved and appreciated they are. Plus, thank-you notes are incredibly budget-friendly, and you can send them multiple times throughout the wedding planning process as opposed to lumping all of your gratitudes into a single gift. From helping you DIY decor to planning your bachelorette weekend, your bridesmaids do a lot. Why not thank them each step of the way?
