Happy Happy Wedding Wednesday!
I have had these images waaaaaay too long without sharing. 😍 I never can ever really say that I have a favorite engagement pictures session because I really never do. Every single one is unique because my clients are all unique. Super cool, right!!? YES!! And, that is exactly what my favorite is…something different and unique. And, these two did not disappoint! ✨
Carrie and Steven
These two love birds are the quintessential Knoxville couple. Steven played football for the Tennessee Volunteers and Carrie now works for the University. They met in downtown Knoxville, bought their first boat last spring and promptly joined the Vol Navy. And, here is the rest of the story::
“One of my best friends (Kaleigh) and her husband (Tyler) came to visit the weekend of the Tennessee vs South Carolina game (they are big SC fans). We had planned to show them the full Tennessee football experience by taking them for a booze cruise on the boat up to Vol Navy and tailgating before the game. We were almost to the dock downtown when Steven decided to stop the boat in front of Neyland Stadium. He suggested we get some pictures of all of us on the boat in front of the stadium. I took some pictures of Kaleigh and Tyler, Steven took some pictures of my Kaleigh and I, and then he asked Kaleigh to get a few pictures of he and I together. We took some pictures and she showed Steven. He said “I don’t really like that one, can you take another?”. We began to pose again and that is when he got down on one knee. Thank goodness Kaleigh had the camera because she caught the whole moment and took a ton of pictures!”
Wedding Plans and the Knoxville Engagement Session
Carrie and Steven chose to have their engagement portraits taken at the Riverview Family Farm, where there wedding will be held next year. BUT, they really wanted to keep their boat and life on the water as part of the pictures as well. So, we made two location stops…and, boy was it fun!
We started at RiverView Farm. And, about 15 minutes into our time together it rained. Well, actually it poured!! We took advantage of the awesome storm with some indoor silhouette images and got out in time to catch some reflections in the puddles. 😍 We left the farm for concord marina were we took a beautiful ride to the water side of Riverview and anchored for a few more sunset pictures from the boat.
So much to love about these two people; how often they laugh, their constant want to be close to one anther, the way they look at each other. and, they dedication they have to each other. I am already super excited for their wedding day. Until then, have a look at a few of their engagement images. And, follow the link at the end of this post for their full gallery.
